Building Complex and Quaternionic Lattices from Codes over Rings

Abstract for the Combinatorics and Number Theory Seminar 2003 March 3

A well known construction produces real unimodular lattices from codes over rings. We shall describe the rings and the maps necessary to build complex and quaternionic unimodular lattices in a similar manner.
