Euclidean Oriented Matroid Program and Extension Space

Abstract for the Combinatorics Seminar 2019 October 29

B. Sturmfels and G.M Ziegler established the sphericity of the extension space for some classes of oriented matroids by introducing strongly euclidean oriented matroids. I will discuss this and how it allows for an inductive proof.
