===== Transfer Basics =====

To transfer a math/stats course from outside Binghamton University, you need **pre-approval** from the department's Director of Undergraduate Studies. Not all courses can be transferred, so have the course reviewed **before** you take it.

  * **Online asynchronous courses** are not approved for transfer.
  * **Courses from non-US institutions** are generally not approved unless they are part of a regular degree-granting curriculum (e.g., coursework completed while enrolled full-time at a foreign university) or an approved program affiliated with Binghamton University (e.g., BU study-abroad). Standalone summer or winter courses abroad are not accepted.

  - Fill out the [[...|Harpur College Transfer Credit Petition form]] and save it as a PDF (not an image or screenshot).
  - Email the completed form to the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Vladislav Kargin (vkargin@binghamton.edu), and include:
    * Current syllabus of the course
    * Website of the department/university offering it
    * When you plan to take the course
