COURSE CONTENT: Chapters 1-5 of “Linear Algebra”, parts of Chapter 6.

EVALUATION: Your grade will be based on the final, two midterms, weekly quizzes, as well as attendance and class participation. The weight distribution is as follows:

Final 30 %
Two Midterms (20% each) 40 %
Quizzes 25 %
Class Participation and Attendance 5 %
Total 100 %

The two midterms (10/2 and 11/6) and the final (12/18) are common to all sections. For further details see the website.

There will be weekly quizzes that will be announced in advance. The material covered will have a strong correlation to the homework covered in class. Be aware that there will be no make-ups for missed quizzes, but at least two quizzes, missed or with the lowest grade, will be dropped. The first quiz will be W 9/10, covering Sections 1.1-1.3.
