Transfer Basics
To transfer a math/stats course from outside Binghamton University, you need pre-approval from the department's Director of Undergraduate Studies. Not all courses can be transferred, so have the course reviewed before you take it.
- Online asynchronous courses are not approved for transfer.
- Courses from non-US institutions are typically not accepted, though exceptions exist for certain study abroad programs (excluding winter/summer sessions). See the rationale and details.
How to Request Approval
- Fill out the Harpur College Transfer Credit Petition form and save it as a PDF (not an image or screenshot).
- Email the completed form to the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Vladislav Kargin (vkargin@binghamton.edu), and include:
- Current syllabus of the course
- Website of the department/university offering it
- When you plan to take the course
