+<h2> Memorial Day Weekend 2015! </h2>
+<p> The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Binghamton University SUNY is pleased to host the 2015 Zassenhaus Group Theory Conference on Memorial Day Weekend, Friday 5/22 - Sunday 5/24. This conference continues the series of Ohio State-Denison Mathematics Conferences first organized in the 1960's by <a href="http://www-history.mcs.st-andrews.ac.uk/Biographies/Zassenhaus.html">Hans Zassenhaus</a>. In addition to established mathematicians, the organizers would like to invite graduate students and young group theorists to consider attending. All speakers will be given equal time, typically 20 minutes.  </p>

+This year we celebrate Robert (Bob) Morse on his 60th birthday and we remember our dear friend Wolfgang Kappe who left us this year shortly before his 85th birthday.

+There is no better time for a BASEBALL game than Memorial Day weekend! The Binghamton Mets have a home game against the Akron RubberDucks at 7:05 pm on Friday May 22 -- complete with fireworks to close out the evening. Elizabeth Wilcox has reserved tickets at a group rate of $8 per ticket for the Zassenhaus Math Conference participants.  If interested, please contact her by Monday May 11 to secure tickets in your name.  Payment, in cash, will be expected upon picking up the ticket from me at the conference and she will provide maps with the stadium location as well as basic parking information.
