This approach has gained much attention in the past two decades, and it has been demonstrated to produce high utility and low risks microdata for public release. The U.S. Census Bureau has already produced and maintained several synthetic data products. This talk is to report on current endeavors of synthesizing Consumer Expenditure Survey (CE) public-use microdata (PUMD) at the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
