### Announcements

Bracket Extra Credit Rules:

• Scoring: First Four: 1 pt each. First Round: 2 pts each. Second Round: 4 pts each. Sweet 16: 8 pts each. Elite 8: 16 pts each. Final 4: 32 pts each. National champion: 64 pts.
• Your bracket will compete against mine, and every point it beats mine by will earn you a point of extra credit.

We will begin chapter 10 on Monday.

1. In addition to the 5 problems out of the book (the last of which is optional), I have assigned the following problem: You live at the southwest corner of a 10 by 7 block grid. Your school is at the northeast corner. How many ways are there to walk to school, provided every block walked is either north or east?
2. NOTES: On 17, there is a part after the formula; don't forget it! On 20, more than one may be true (“Which of the following is true” does not mean “Which ONE of the following”)
