This page is no longer updated since I moved to the University of Geneva. My new webpage is here.
I am a Riley Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Binghamton. I completed my BSc in Mathematics and MSc in Pure Mathematics at the University of Cyprus, where I come from. During my master studies I spent one year at the University of Bonn. I obtained my PhD degree in 2014 from the University of Munich, under the supervision of Prof. D. Kotschick. Also, I held visiting positions at IHÉS in 2015 and at Peking University in 2016.
My research interests lie in the area of topology and geometry and the interactions to group theory, algebra, global analysis and dynamics. One of my main focuses is the study of maps of non-zero degree and related manifold invariants. A significant amount of my work deals with the study of direct products, both of manifolds and groups.
